They offer you a genuine and unique level of service you can only find at Turneffe Island Resort. From the time they meet you at the airport in Belize, through your entire stay and departure, you can be assured that they are there to exceed your vacation expectations and provide you with unparalleled service.
The Island is 35 miles from Belize. The transfer time to the island is 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on guest arrival times and weather. The boat will leave as close to 3:00 pm as possible. Your luggage will be transferred with you to the island. Their staff will ensure delivery to your guestroom. Please pack a small bag with your most important items as a carry on for the transfer. You will not be able to access your luggage during the transfer.
Scuba diving at Turneffe Island Resort in Belize is a unique experience in itself! As a private island resort they offer the best diving and most luxurious accommodations in the Western Caribbean. They are proud to offer access to over 70 dive sites within minutes of the island, including the world famous Elbow.
Their exclusive dive program consists of 15 dives a week – 2 on Sunday, Monday and Friday, 3 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Usually the first dive is at 8.15 am, the second around 10:30 am and the last dive at 3:00 pm. Most of the dive sites are 5 to 10 minutes from the Resort and return to the island for all of the surface intervals. They also offer Nitrox for those who are certified. The dive shop has rental equipment for both diving and snorkeling. During the week they schedule a trip to Lighthouse Reef to dive the Blue Hole. They also offer a night dive each week, usually on Thursdays, weather permitting. Their dive staff will inform you of the schedule for the week and will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have. If you are a non-diver who enjoys snorkeling, you may want to consider doing an introduction dive with one of our instructors.
There are NO SCHEDULED DIVING ACTIVITIES on SATURDAYS at Turneffe Island Resort. Please remember NO DIVING from the island at any time.
The luxurious private cabanas are located on the southeastern side of the island and offers you more privacy from the main part of the lodge. These 8 unique free standing accommodations offer a variety of extras such as wrap around porches, canopy style beds, large sitting area and a breath taking view of the Caribbean Sea and are tucked in between local vegetation and native trees.
The Superior Guest Room accomodations are located on the southeastern side of the island and offer you more privacy from the main part of the lodge. These 4 unique upper level accommodations offer a extras such as vaulted ceilings, canopy style beds, a comfortable sitting area and a breath taking view of the Caribbean Sea from the peaceful screened private balcony.
The Deluxe Room accommodations are located on the northeastern side of the island and offer you unobstructed and breathtaking views of the magnificent Turneffe Atoll. These 8 charming accommodations offer private screened porches, canopy style beds, a cozy sitting area and a breath taking view of the Caribbean Sea. Our Deluxe Rooms are accented by lovely gardens featuring bright and colorful native Belizean vegetation.
